Service is what we are all about. After listening to our customers we have been gradually expanding the range of services we offer, details of which you can find below.
Window Measuring
Are you interested in Made to Measure curtains or blinds, but not sure how to measure your windows correctly? No problem. We offer a free measuring service to our customers. We will come to your house at a date & time convenient to you and do the measuring for you.
Free Estimates
Once we have your measurements and you have picked your fabric we will send you a free no obligation estimate for the work you have requested. If you are happy with this then you simply pay the required deposit and we can start work on your order right away.
Fabric Supply
If you just want fabric to make your own curtains, that is no problem either. Just call in and choose from our large range, tell us how much you require and we will order it in for you.
Curtain Alterations
Do you have some curtains that you want to hang at a different window? We can alter your existing curtains to fit. Bring along your curtains together with the new measurements and we will do the rest.
Dressmaking & Alterations
We can make dresses and other garments to fit. Make an appointment to see our dressmaker for a fitting and have the pleasure of having that unique garment made especially for you, with a perfect fit.
Do you have a favourite garment that does not fit anymore? Have you a garment that needs taking in/up? Had an accident and need a repair? We can help with all of these things. Bring them along, tell us what you require and get an estimate straight away.
School Uniform Labelling
Labelling all of those bits of school uniform can be a real drag, so our customers tell us. That is why we offer a labelling service. Order your labels from us or bring along your name labels and the uniform and for a modest charge we will do the rest.
Knitting Up
You love the idea of that hand knitted garment, but you cannot knit. Well, you could always get somebody to knit it for you and that somebody could be us. Call in and take a look at our range of patterns, choose a wool or yarn, make your purchase, tell us what size you want and we will tell you how much it will cost to have it hand knitted for you. If you are happy with the price just leave the pattern and yarn with us and we will turn it into that special garment for you.
Embroidery Service
Do you need initials or a design embroidered? We can organise that as well.
Classes
We run a range of classes covering such subjects as basic sewing, beginners knitting, crochet & dress making. During the school holidays we offer classes for children and during term time we run adult classes & after school clubs for teenagers.
